The present study was aimed at assessing the in-vitro antimicrobial activity of ethanolic extract of root bark of Caesalpinia crista by the disc diffusion methods. The ethanolic extract of Caesalpinia crista showed moderate percentage amount of dose dependent manner compared to standard antimicrobial drug. Our data provide evidence that the crude ethanolic extract of root bark of Caesalpinia crista is potential source of natural antimicrobial and this justified its uses in folkloric medicines. The tested organisms were streptococcus mutans, staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, klebsiella.
